A recent university study found that facial skin cancer develops more often on the left side of your face. The likely reason is that most of us spend a significant portion of our adult lives behind the wheel of a vehicle with the left side of our faces exposed to the sun.
If you spend a lot of time in your car, it just makes sense to protect yourself. One option is to apply sunscreen routinely any time you are leaving your home, but many find that solution impractical. The better types of sunscreen are not inexpensive, and of course your supply will need to be replenished routinely.
An easier solution, and ultimately a more cost effective one, is to apply window tinting to your vehicle’s windows, especially the driver’s window. Many customers make the mistake of assuming that window tinting is only available in darker shades, but it is possible to filter out most of the sun’s ultraviolet rays with window film that is practically clear. You do not have to sacrifice any visibility to gain important protection.
When you compare the relatively low cost of car window tinting with the cost of sunscreen over the life of your car, you will find that you come out ahead with the tinting. And that comparison makes the unlikely assumption that you will be disciplined enough to apply sunscreen routinely.
The decision becomes even easier if you consider your health. What would you pay to have a skin cancer removed from your face? For most people the answer is easy: “Whatever it takes!” With that in mind, what is it worth to avoid contracting skin cancer at all? It is worth much more than the cost of applying window tinting.
