Guess what time of year it is? For those of you who read our blog a few weeks ago, it IS the time for spring break, but that’s not all. Here’s a hint: brooms, mops, feather dusters, and cleaning out your closet. Yup! You guessed it! It’s time for spring cleaning! Here are a few ideas to go the extra mile to make sure you’re getting the most of your cleaning this season.
Bedroom
- De-clutter your wardrobe, shelves, and drawers by throwing away or donating your old clothes, books you don’t read, and other things you don’t use often. And come on, it’s time to give away that sweater you only remember how much you like once clean-out time rolls around.
Bathroom
- Throw away and expired or unused cosmetic products. Make sure to check the small icon with either 24M, 12M, or 6M on the label! This tells you how many months the product is good for after it’s opened.
- Check grout lines and reseal them if necessary. Not only will this accomplish cleaning your grout, but it will really spruce up the look of it!
- Shine all faucets and metal parts.
Living Room/Dining Room
- Sort your books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, board games, etc. While you’re at it, get rid of any you don’t play anymore and are just taking up space.
- Dust your walls and wall trimmings.
- If you have them, throw those curtains in the wash! Make sure to check labels to see any specific washing directions.
Kitchen
- Organize your cabinets, pantry, freezer, and refrigerator. You might be surprised how much you didn’t realize you had that got shoved to the back!
- Sanitize cutting boards and sharpen knives. These are two of the most overlooked kitchen chores that can really make a difference!
Spring is the time to go out with the old, and in with the new. It’s the time to spruce up your home, polish the silver, dust the furniture, wash the car, and maybe this year tint your windows! There’s nothing sharper than a nice, clean home with freshly tinted windows. Not only does window film enhance your home’s curbside appeal, it also helps save energy and protects you from the sun’s UV rays! Head over to Vero Beach this spring and stop in to Solar Solutions.
