We believe that in the midst of this time of uncertainty, there are some valuable lessons we can all take away from the experience. As a small business, we know that our customers are valuable. We understand that, without you, we don’t exist. Many big businesses may lose sight of that. Hopefully, with the drop in revenue that has occurred during stay-at-home and safer-at-home orders, even big businesses will start to value their customers more. We already knew you were valuable, and we are so appreciative of those of you who have continued to have your windows tinted, helping to keep our small business alive during such a trying time.
Support Local Businesses
We hope that people see the value in small business, now more than ever. As some of your favorite local places may have been closed down during the pandemic because they weren’t considered “essential” or because it cost too much to keep their doors open with so few customers, we hope that when they reopen, you make it a point to frequent those businesses, let them know they were missed and that their community values them.
Some of us will see small businesses that we once frequented close their doors forever, unable to survive the financial hardship caused by the pandemic. We hope that this further reminds you (and us) that small businesses matter. The owners and employees are trying to put food on their table just like you. They depend on you, probably even more than you depend on them. Let their closures be a reminder to us all that by shopping local, privately owned businesses, you’re also supporting local people – our very own neighbors.
Remember to Be Thankful
When the pandemic panic dies down and numbers drop off, let’s not forget what life was like during this time. Let’s not forget that unemployment and food shortages are very real threats that lurk just outside the door. We do not want to let fear or panic rule our lives. That is no way to live. Instead, let the things we had to go without and the things we lost during this time, remind us of how much we truly have to be thankful for so that we don’t take any of it for granted again.
