Tinted Windows Are Good for Your Health

Window Tinting Health Benefits

This is probably not the first question that pops into your head when you think about window tinting.  But, the fact that window tinting can provide health benefits is pretty amazing.  Here are a few ways that window tinting can benefit your health.

Health Benefit #1: Preventing skin cancer

This health benefit applies to home, car, and business window tinting.  With as much time as you spend in all three of those places, it is encouraging to know that having the windows tinted in your car, home, and/or place of business can help protect you from skin cancer.  Our window tint can block up to 99% of the sun’s harmful UV rays.  Think about all the time you spend with the sun beating down on you through the car window, as you sit on the couch at home, and as you sit at your desk by your office window.  It is imperative that you protect your skin, and our window tint can help!

Health Benefit #2:  Better sleep

In Florida, our sunrises begin coming earlier in July and this continues until December.  During the months that our sunrise is occurring before 6:00 am, we may find it hard to stay asleep until the alarm sounds our wake-up call!  You early birds may thoroughly enjoy those early sunrises, but not everyone feels the same. This can be particularly hard for those who work a late shift and are not getting to bed until the wee hours of the morning.  If those hours are bright, sleep may be elusive.  Having your windows tinted will help keep your room darker which can help promote better sleep.  This is conversely true for those that need to go to bed early based on their work schedule.  During those bright summer nights, tinted windows can help you get the sleep you need as your room will be darker than the bright night sky!

Health Benefit #3:  Recovery from migraines

If you suffer from migraines, then you already know that a cool, dark room can help during your migraine recovery.  Many people with migraines find that lying down in a cool, dark, quiet room with a cold, wet washcloth over their eyes can help ease the pain of a migraine and promote recovery.  This can be difficult if every room in your house is beaming with bright sunlight.  Window tinting can ensure that you have a darker space to recover.

Will window tinting make my house dark?

One of the great things about our window tint is that it comes in a variety of shades.  We even offer clear tint for those who want the benefits of sun protection without darkening their living area or workspace!  But, if you are wanting to darken a space, such as those who suffer from migraines, then we have darker tints to meet those needs, as well.
